Still getting used to it. Purchasing the scanner i figured there would be an update subscription to keep the scanner up to date. However to access certain manufacturers (chrysler, Jeep) there is an additional subscription. I've used an autel before that has bypass cables for the gateway and allows you to access the same functions. Launch should have something like this or better. Without the subscription you can only scan for codes. Can't clear or access any other functions.

Very nice car scanner. Has a ton of features that I am still learning... I have used it on multiple vehicles for reading codes, reading live data, resetting codes, and bi-directional testing of various systems. So far it has done all of these very well. This is a great tool that rivals the competition, at a much more reasonable price.!have and would recommend to friends and co-workers.

Great scan tool for DIY. Scans much faster and deeper than the previous TopDon Artidiag EU it replaced. I have scanned Mercedes, BMW, Nissan and Peugeot so far, all worked as expected. Software is intuitive enough (not autel level) but you can find your way around easily. Very happy with purchase and can recommend.
Great product. Very efficient. Picked up the faulty ABS sensors on my car and after changing them I managed to successfully reset the codes. Didn't have any issues since. The tool also picked up some other sensors issues which I'm currently looking into sorting out. A regular scanner hasn't picked up these other faulty sensors. I'm assuming it's because they are not considered critical to the car's operations system yet. This product might seem expensive but considering the prices that the garages charge nowdays it is definetly a tool worth having especially if you are handy with tools and can sort minor issues yourself. Another plus to it is that it comes in a very sturdy case and has different addapters for mulitiple types of power sockets. Highly recommended.

Launch CR529 OBD2 Scanner for your check engine light is a great tool to read and clear fault codes and get a good idea of the issues you are having. I've been using Launch OBD2 scanners for several years now and it's my go brand. I have two Launch BMW specific scanners and they have all worked well. The CR529 is a good solid, economical scanner that can be up-dated via the internet. Having a few older vehicles in the stable, the CR529 is a tool you don't use very often, but when that check engine light is on, it can help you can figure out issues and point in the right direction. This is a plug and play scanner, that immediately allowed me to search for diagnostic trouble codes on my vehicle. No setup was necessary, it simply worked when I plugged it in. There are other functions that allow me to monitor different data points, but I have not yet dug into that function

The cord is a great length as well so you can plug it in and sit comfortable while looking up the codes and not worrying about tugging on the cord. It is well built and also very compact at the same time. It also has a built in DTC code look up so you can look up the codes that pop up or the codes if given. Its very easy to use and user friendly. I also like the 2.8 color display which make it easy to see all the features and use the device. You can also pull up the vehicle information such as the Vin and milage. You can also check if your vehicle is im ready to pass emission test. Works with a wide range of vehicles from 1996 to newer. You also get life time free updates so you can have the latest updates to diagnose your car. It also have live data stream to check air intake, throttle position, fuel, o2 senso etc.This has alot of features and it a great portable, handheld, small obd2 scan tool.
